Dear fellow coaches,
This month we have our very own member Sorbojeet Chatterjee addressing us on the bheja (aka the brain. Fascinating don't you think? So be sure to register on the doattend link at the end of this mailer to confirm your presence - aana hai ('to put it in language - 'please come')!
The details of our monthly meeting are given below:
Date: Monday, 16th October 2017
Time: 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM
Location: Room T/5, 3rd floor, MET, Opposite Lilavati Hospital, Bandra Reclamation
Topic: Decoding The Brain
Presenter: Sorbojeet Chatterjee
The brain is the most valuable asset we own. Ironically, it is also the least mapped or measured part of our body. The brain is not just the seat of intelligence, but also the seat of emotional trigger and habit formation. Essentially, the epicenter for all coaching interventions. Isn’t it high-time we decoded this powerful connecting and processing machine. No-brainer, right?
As practicing coaches and students of the coaching process we all have anecdotal evidence on the effectiveness and transformational ability of coaching. We intuitively understand the benefits of active listening, powerful questions, solution and strength focus and growth mindset in the context of coaching. This session will decode the relevant principles of neuroscience that forms the scientific bedrock for the process of coaching.
The session will cover
- Evolution of the brain; Reptilian to Mammalian to Human brain
- The relationship between the PreFrontal Cortex (Thinker) and the Limbic System (Feeler)
- The Neuroscience of Hardwiring (and Habit formation)
The key takeaway will be a functional understanding of how the brain works and practical implementation in every coaching intervention to make the process more impactful and effective.
Don’t merely believe what you read. Come and experience live coaching demonstrations with real-time neuro-transmitters and observe the metaphorical ‘needle’ move…literally!
Sorbojeet Chatterjee has over 15 years of leadership experience in building some of India’s biggest media brands. Sorbo, as he is popularly known, has extensively used principles of neuroscience for product and communication testing. He now explores the same principles in custom-crafting and testing coach-tech products with his startup Happ Coach. He is a certified coach from NeuroLeadership Institute.
